What Does the Moon Symbolize?
Let's start with a breakdown of some of the most common symbolic meanings associated with the moon:
- Intuition and Emotion: The Moon is associated with intuition, feelings, and the subconscious mind. Its cycles influence our emotional states and inner wisdom.
- Feminine Energy: The moon symbolizes Feminine Energy and the Goddess Archetype. It represents fertility, creativity, and nurturing.
- Cycles and Change: The moon’s phases symbolize the cyclical nature of Life, emphasizing change, growth, and renewal. Each phase reflects different aspects of our personal and spiritual journeys.
- Transformation and Renewal: Its phases from new to full and back again make the moon a powerful symbol of transformation, renewal, and rebirth.
How to Live by the Moon’s Phases
First the Golden Rule always: The Permission slips! If you try these rituals and they don't "work" for you or they don't vibrate with you, this is OK!
I am going to share with you information about the two Moon phases that I personally vibrated with and used in a phase of my Journey of Remembering. Before heading to them, I am going to teach you this shortcut:
-
Everything you intend to grow, begin with it on the New Moon.
The New Moon grows to become visibly a Full Moon: thus, growth.
-
Everything you intend to release or decrease, begin with it after the Full Moon.
The Full Moon decreases to become "invisible" to us into the New Moon: decrease and release!
Basic Moon Ritual Steps
These steps are the same for the Rituals, what changes is the Intention.
- Prepare Your Altar: Smudge yourself, your tools, and your altar space.
- Set Intentions: Place your crystals, light the candle, and write down on a piece of paper your Intention
- Activate your Channels: Connect to Mother Earth and Father Sky
- Main Ritual Action: Take a moment to meditate on your intention.
-
Close the Ritual: Give thanks to your offerings, Mother Nature, and Father Sky!
1 - New Moon: A Time for New Beginnings
Best for: Setting new intentions, planting metaphorical seeds, and beginning new projects. A time for renewal and fresh starts. This is the best phase for doing all rituals related to charging crystals and orgonite, installing new beliefs, and manifestation.
1.1 Smudging Tools:
- Smudging Sticks: Rosemary, Lemon Cinnamon Mix, and Palo Santo
- Incense Sticks & Cones: NagChampa Incense Stick and Heaven Cones

1.3 New Moon Intention
Intention : Your intention is about what you intend to begin as a new project, what you choose to install as a new program in your subconscious mind, which new timeline you choose to jump into, or any new idea you are inspired to make visible.
Extra Tip: Take a small pinch of sea salt and place it under your tongue, affirming both a purification of what is no longer serving you and a welcoming of your connection with the spiritual realm and the unseen world. With this connection, welcome the input from your higher self, the part of you that knows what is ready to come into being in your life. Let the salt dissolve under your tongue.
Insights:
-
Which new version of myself am I ready to create?
-
What would it feel like making my intentions visible?
-
I know exactly which inspired actions to take towards my intention!
-
Universe, You know exactly what I am asking for, feel free to amaze me and show me the way!
Complete the Ritual: Drink the fresh water, welcoming the salt into your body, and activating your intentions on a cellular level.
2 - Full Moon: A Time for Harvest
The Full Moon is the phase when the entire face of the moon is illuminated. It symbolizes culmination, harvest, and celebration. This is the peak time for seeing the results of the intentions set during the New Moon, and it's a moment to honor what has come to fruition. And yes it is advised to charging crystals and orgonite as well during this phase!

Intention: Your intention is about the achievements and confirmations about all the empowering changes that you are experiencing!3 - Full Moon: A Time for Release
I personally used this side of the symbolism of the Full Moon, which is the part of the letting go and the release process.
This is the best phase for doing all rituals related to cleansing, releasing old patterns, and cutting cords. Usually 3 to 4 days after the Full Moon.
