I. What Does the Moon Symbolize?
Before heading to how to do Moon Rituals, let's start with a breakdown of some of the most common symbolic meanings associated with the moon:
-
Intuition and Emotion
The Moon is associated with intuition, feelings, and the subconscious mind. Its cycles influence our emotional states and inner wisdom.
-
Feminine Energy
The moon symbolizes Feminine Energy and the Goddess Archetype. It represents fertility, creativity, and nurturing.
-
Cycles and Change
The moon’s phases symbolize the cyclical nature of Life, emphasizing change, growth, and renewal. Each phase reflects different aspects of our personal and spiritual journeys.
-
Transformation and Renewal
Its phases from new to full and back again make the moon a powerful symbol of transformation, renewal, and rebirth.

TL;DR: The Moon Shortcut
-
New Moon = Growth: Anything you intend to start or grow (projects, new subconscious programs).
-
Full Moon = Release: Anything you intend to decrease or let go of (old patterns, misbeliefs).
II. How We Live by the Moon’s Phases
1. Golden Rule
First, the Golden Rule always: The Permission slips! If you try these rituals and they don't "work" for you or they don't vibrate with you, this is OK!
Activation: Permission Slips – The Activation Key
2. Shortcut
I am going to share with you information about the two Moon phases that I personally vibrated with in a phase of my Journey of Remembering. Before heading to them, I am going to teach you this shortcut:
-
Everything you intend to grow, begin with it on the New Moon.
The New Moon grows to become visibly a Full Moon: thus, growth.
-
Everything you intend to release or decrease, begin with it after the Full Moon.
The Full Moon decreases to become "invisible" to us into the New Moon: decrease and release!
- Affirmation: You can easily "twist" them to be for growth or release! You can "out-smart" the Moon Cycle—it is simply a matter of perspective!
3. Basic Moon Rituals Steps
These steps remain the same for our rituals; only our Intention changes:
- Prepare Your Altar: Smudge yourself, your tools, and your altar space.
- Set Intentions: Place your crystals, light the candle, and write down on a piece of paper your Intention
- Activate your Channels: Connect to Mother Earth and Father Sky
- Main Ritual Action: Take a moment to meditate on your intention.
-
Close the Ritual: Give thanks to your offerings, Mother Nature, and Father Sky!

III. The New Moon: A Time for New Beginnings
1. Best for:
Setting intentions, planting metaphorical seeds, and beginning new projects. This is the best phase for charging crystals and orgonites, installing new beliefs, and manifestation.
2. Spiritual Tools
-
1. Smudging Tools: Rosemary, Palo Santo, Nag Champa, Sandarac & Frankincense.
-
2. Meditation Tools: Moonstone, Labradorite, Citrine, Amethyst, Green Aventurine.
-
3. Ritual Candles: Self-Love and Abundance Ritual Candles.
3. The New Moon Intention
Focus on what you intend to begin: the new program you choose to install in your subconscious, or the new timeline you choose to align with.
4. Insights to Meditate On:
- Which new version of myself am I ready to create?
- What would it feel like to make my intentions visible?
- I know exactly which inspired actions to take towards my intention!
- Universe, you know exactly what I am asking for, feel free to amaze me and show me the way!
Complete the Ritual: Drink the fresh water, welcoming the salt into your body, and activating your intentions on a cellular level.
Extra Tip: Place a pinch of sea salt under your tongue to purify the old and welcome connection to the unseen. As it dissolves, invite input from your Higher Self. Finish by drinking fresh water to activate your intentions on a cellular level.
This is the perfect time to do your Manifestation Rituals.
IV. The Full Moon: A Time for Harvest & Release
The Full Moon holds a dual symbolism: Harvest and Release.
1. Full Moon for Celebration
This is the moment to honor what has come to fruition and see the results of intentions set during the New Moon. It is also the peak time to charge your crystals!
-
Tools: Lavender, Orange Mix, Sandalwood, Star Anise.
-
Crystals: Carnelian, Rose Quartz, Sunstone.
-
Intention: Focus on achievements and confirmations of the empowering changes you are experiencing!
2. Full Moon: A Time for Release
I personally used this side of the symbolism of the Full Moon, which is the part of the letting go and the release process.
This is the best phase for doing all rituals related to cleansing, releasing old patterns, and cutting cords. Usually, 3 to 4 days after the Full Moon.
This is the best phase for cleansing, releasing old patterns, and cutting cords.
-
Tools: White Sage Smudging Stick
-
Crystals: Crystals for Release and Letting Go
-
Ritual Candles: Protection and Healing Ritual Candles
-
Intention: Focus on what you intend to release and the misbeliefs you choose to dismantle.
